Francisco Centeno's Web Hang

When Motown song writing legends “Ashford & Simpson” discovered Francisco Centeno playing bass in a high school band in New York City, he was only fifteen years old and didn’t even own an instrument. A week later he was in a recording studio lending his innovative melodic style to Motown greats like Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson & Marvin Gaye on songs written and produced by Ashford & Simpson.

It wasn’t long before word hit the street and Francisco’s career took off like a comet. By his twentieth birthday he had performed in all the major cities in the US while touring with Aretha Franklin. Melba Moore and Bette Midler.

Now a veteran of the NYC recording studio scene, for the past thirty years Francisco has been heard on hundreds of TV commercials, Albums ,Motion Pictures, TV themes, and has appeared on numerous TV shows with frequent appearances on Dave Letterman sitting in with the band. He is currently stirring things up in the pit in the Broadway hit "Hairspray".
